Qur'an Sample

Here's a taste of what you'll read in the Qur'an:

First thing to understand is that when two verses in the Qur'an are in conflict, the latter verse prevails. It so happens that the latter verses are the violent ones.

Qur'an (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

Qur'an (4:76) - "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah!"

Qur'an (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Qur'an (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah"

Qur'an (4:89) - "Slay them wherever you find them"

Qur'an (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Qur'an (3:28) - "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them..."

Abu Dawud (41:4832) - The Messenger of Allah [said] "Do not keep company with anyone but a believer and do not let anyone eat your food but one who is pious."

Qur'an (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

Taqiyya - Saying something that isn't true.

Kitman - Lying by omission.

Reliance of the Traveler (p. 746 - 8.2) - "Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible (N:i.e. when the purpose of lying is to circumvent someone who is preventing one from doing something permissible), and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory... it is religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words that give a misleading impression...

Consequences of NOT understanding Islam:

1) You'll read in the paper or see on the news that Muslims in prison or in school DEMAND Halal certified food as it's a requirement of their religion. Wrong! If those in authority understood Islamic law, they'd understand that it IS permissible for Muslims to eat food that is NOT Halal certified, or even not Halal (such as dog or bird of prey) if Halal is not available. The diner need only pray over it by saying "Bismillah"

2) You'll read in the paper or see on the news that Muslims in prison, school or at work DEMAND time to pray. Wrong! If those in authority understood Islamic law, they'd understand that it IS permissible for Muslims to skip prayer if it can be made up later. You won't see Saudi Arabia shut down five times a day.

These are attempts by Muslims to inflict their beliefs on us (social Jihad). Don't let it happen.
